KRA Immigration Law Group - the law offices of Kennedy Riordan & Associates P.C. - is solely dedicated to the practice of Immigration and Nationality Law. Meghan Kennedy Riordan

Meghan Kennedy Riordan has been engaged in the practice of Immigration Law since 1990. Ms. Riordan graduated with honors from Canisius College in Buffalo, New York in 1987 with a Bachelor's degree in History and minored in International Relations. Ms. Riordan received her Juris Doctor in 1990 from the University of Detroit School of Law in Detroit, Michigan.

From 1988 through 1995, Ms. Riordan was a Law Clerk, and then an Associate, with the Immigration Law firm of English and Van Horne in Detroit, Michigan where she was responsible for handling all types of business and employment based Immigration Law matters. In 1996, Ms. Riordan joined the internationally recognized law firm of Mandel, Lipton and Stevenson in Chicago, Illinois where she continued her practice in corporate Immigration Law. Ms. Riordan has been a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) since 1990 and was the Treasurer of the Michigan AILA Chapter from 1993 through 1995, and the Michigan AILA Chapter Vice Chairperson from 1995 through 1996. Ms. Riordan is the author of several published immigration law articles and frequently lectures throughout the Detroit metropolitan area.

Ms. Riordan is also a member of the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan, the Federal Bar Association, the Incorporated Society of Irish/American Lawyers, and the Catholic Lawyers Association. Ms. Riordan also serves as a member of the board for the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan Foundation and for First Step, as well as on the State Bar of Michigan's Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee.

Kate McCarroll

Kate McCarroll graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy in 1998 with a Bachelor's degree in Communications Studies. Prior to attending law school, she managed marketing and public relations activities for a nonprofit organization and a national skilled nursing care company. Ms. McCarroll received her Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy in 2003.

Ms. McCarroll has experience in a wide range of immigration matters. From 2001 to 2005, she was a Law Clerk, and then an Associate, with an immigration law firm in Detroit, Michigan, where she represented clients in asylum proceedings, criminal deportation matters, and cases before the federal courts. Between 2005 and 2007, she was an Associate at a large, full service law firm as well as a national immigration firm, practicing family and corporate immigration law, including outbound immigration, I-9 compliance training, and assisting corporations with Department of Labor/Department of Homeland Security audits. In November 2008, Ms. McCarroll joined KRA Immigration Law Group to continue her practice. Ms. McCarroll is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), State Bar of Michigan, and the Advocates (Polish-American Bar Association).
