KRA Immigration Law Group - the law offices of Kennedy Riordan & Associates P.C. - is solely dedicated to the practice of Immigration and Nationality Law. We represent businesses and individuals in all areas of immigration law including: temporary and permanent residence based on employment, business investment, international trade, family based permanent residence, international consular processing, naturalization, Form I-9 audits, employer sanctions, political asylum, exclusion and deportation proceedings, administrative appeals and litigation.

Meghan Kennedy Riordan

Meghan Kennedy Riordan has been engaged in the practice of Immigration Law since 1990. Ms. Riordan graduated with honors from Canisius College in Buffalo, New York in 1987 with a Bachelor's degree in History and minored in International Relations. Ms. Riordan received her Juris Doctor in 1990 from the University of Detroit School of Law in Detroit, Michigan.

From 1988 through 1995, Ms. Riordan was a Law Clerk, and then an Associate, with the Immigration Law firm of English and Van Horne in Detroit, Michigan where she was responsible for handling all types of business and employment based Immigration Law matters. In 1996, Ms. Riordan joined the internationally recognized law firm of Mandel, Lipton and Stevenson in Chicago, Illinois where she continued her practice in corporate Immigration Law. Ms. Riordan has been a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) since 1990 and was the Treasurer of the Michigan AILA Chapter from 1993 through 1995, and the Michigan AILA Chapter Vice Chairperson from 1995 through 1996. Ms. Riordan is the author of several published immigration law articles and frequently lectures throughout the Detroit metropolitan area.

Ms. Riordan is also a member of the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan, the Federal Bar Association, the Incorporated Society of Irish/American Lawyers, and the Catholic Lawyers Association. Ms. Riordan also serves as a member of the board for the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan Foundation and for First Step, as well as on the State Bar of Michigan�s Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee.

Deniz M. Baser

Deniz M. Baser graduated from Albion College in Albion, Michigan in 1987 with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and French with a concentration in Pre-Law. Ms. Baser continued her studies toward a Master's Degree in Political Science and International Relations at Bogazici (Bosphorus) University in Istanbul, Turkey in 1991. Ms. Baser received her Juris Doctor in 1994 from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in Detroit, Michigan.

From 2000 through 2003, Ms. Baser was an Associate with the Immigration Law firm of TransNational Legal Services, P.C. in Rochester Hills, Michigan, where she was responsible for all types of family and employment-based Immigration and Naturalization matters. In 2003, Ms. Baser joined KRA Immigration Law Group to continue her practice in Immigration Law. Ms. Baser has been a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) since 2001 and has been actively involved with the Turkish American Cultural Association of Michigan (TACAM) for over ten years. Ms. Baser has traveled extensively in Europe, Asia, Canada and the United States, and has a working knowledge of French and Turkish.

Lisa Tehlirian

Lisa Tehlirian graduated from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 2000 with a Bachelor's degree in General Studies with concentrations in biological anthropology and psychology. Ms. Tehlirian continued her studies and received her Juris Doctor in 2004 from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in Detroit, Michigan.

Following her legal studies, Ms. Tehlirian was accepted into the U.S. Department of Justice, Attorney General's Honors Program where she worked as the Judicial Law Clerk/Attorney Advisor for the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), U.S. Immigration Court in Detroit, Michigan. In this capacity, she researched novel immigration issues and drafted legal memoranda and judicial opinions for the Immigration Judges. In October 2005, Ms. Tehlirian joined KRA Immigration Law Group to continue her practice in Immigration Law. Ms. Tehlirian is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), State Bar of Michigan, the Federal Bar Association, the Armenian-American Bar Association and Women's Lawyers Association of Michigan.
